Ugbekile David Osemeke (born May 10, 2001), known professionally as Boy Spyce, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He first garnered a regional following with the release of his cover version of Essence (2021), which led to his signing of a recording contract from Mavin Records. The label released his debut extended play, Boy Spyce (2022) to moderate commercial reception.
== Early life ==
Boy Spyce was born in Isolo, Lagos State, but hails from Edo State. He grew up living in Jakande Estate, Isolo in Lagos, Nigeria. For his secondary education, he attended Model College in Kankon, and he is the last born in the family of seven.

He started his music career posting song covers on social media platforms in 2019. In 2021, he gained recognition after posting a cover of “Essence” by Wizkid featuring Tems. The cover caught the attention of Don Jazzy of Mavin Records who offered him a recording deal and introduced him to the public on 14 April 2022. He went on to release his debut EP “Boy Spyce” on 15 April 2022, which peaked at number 1 on Nigeria Apple Music.
